My mission for this blog is to use my voice and share it with the world.

I've always had a story to tell as most of us do. Stories often include the way we grow up, how we are raised, something tragic, heartbreaking, and or, heartfelt. I have had a lot of issues with who I am as a Hispanic Native American Jewish woman. I have never spoken about it, but yes, I have been racially profiled, fat shamed, bullied, targeted for my beliefs/religion and for being adopted. Sadly, it is more common in this crazy world than we would like to admit.

I have never spoken about this publically outside my brother and mother, because sadly, I have grown to live with this negative judgmental outlook the world has about me. A lot of what I have gone through has made me who I am today. I may be guarded but the whiplashes of criticism I have faced growing up, but everyday I try to change my old ways and allow myself to open up and do better. At the age of twenty-seven, I've had enough of keeping quiet and rather, using my voice in a positive way that I hope may help someone who might be in a similar situation. I understand the criticism and loss of friendship and family relationships that have come my way because of being different.

Which is why I will blog. There are many topics that will be discussed in my upcoming blogs. Some that are sensitive, controversial and some that are fun and light hearted. However, if there are other adoptive readers out there that have an idea on a topic or suggestions I am open to everything! Feel free to email me and subscribe to this blog. I love to hear ideas and thoughts from all who are in the adoptive world.
